MapieTree soon to be moving

This blog will soon be relocated on its own Domain The site is still under construction but if you wish to visit while the process is in the undertaking, I think you will be pleasantly surprised! MagpieTree has a new clean design and easy to subscribe to posts. You will also find easy buttons to follow MagpieTree on Twitter and Facebook. There is also soon to come a page featuring The SOLD Project; a grass roots project that strives to decrease and rehabitilate children from Thailand sold into the sex slave trade. MagpieTree will be donating a portion of all sales to help in the Sold Project's efforts.

Feel free to visit the site while it is still being tweaked and fine-tuned. I would love the traffic and don't forget to subscribe to feeds to receive updates on when new items are posted in the shop and new info posted on the website.

I am also in the process of creating a year long list for 2011 featuring local craft and art fares and bazaars in the tri-state area. This will be added to the site for your downloading or printing pleasure! Be patient and it should be completed soon!

Doing Some Research

It may be a short while before I post another blog as I am in the process of revamping my site. I am attempting to make it more follower and user friendly, as well as, more aesthetically respesentative of my eclectic personal style. . . which when you are not a web developer can be a little difficult:P

I am currently creating a survey for my blog users and MagpieTree supporters to gain a better understanding of what you may want to see. Be on the lookout for an email requesting you to participate in a survey (I would greatly appreciate it :) I want to make sure that I'm offering more information on this site than just another place for you to purchase my little creations. So any feedback, requests and constructive criticism is very helpful.

I'm including in this post some images of my new studio space, to give you a little glimpse into my creative space. I want to offer not only the experience of owning one of my items, but understanding the love and attention that goes into making each and every one of them!

Here are some of the Orchid pics from last weekends Orchid Show with my neighbor Katie (my very knowledgable personal biologist)! It's simply amazing what nature (and man) are capable of producing! Enjoy!

I am creating this blog in hopes that my loving friends, family and supportive customers will follow me on my adventures of creating! I look forward to sharing my experiences with all of you and giving you a little peak into my studio as I create new objects and trinkets for MagpieTree.

I will randomly be posting items of inspiration, photos of new creations and pics of me at work in my studio.

Please visit my Etsy site during the holidays for new and exciting items for purchase.

I hope they bring their owners as much joy as they offered me while creating them!
